There is lots and lots of research now to support the low carbohydrate way of eating to support many of our modern lifestyle diseases, particularly Type 2 diabetes.
I say ‘way of eating’ because it isn’t a diet. It’s just the way you eat and becomes part of your lifestyle. The word ‘diet’ conjures up too many negative connotations and makes people feel like they are missing out on things and depriving themselves.
It is so welcoming to see ‘mainstream’ health professionals being recognised for their positive work in this area. Australia needs to catch up!
