For someone who has worked in the health (or rather sickness) field for so long its very exciting to see this.
A randomised controlled study looking at alternatives to medications to treat disorders such as depression. More and more I’m seeing these types of studies pop up in my research.
Of course medications do have their place depending on the severity of the symptoms and what you are needing to treat. But if a simple change in diet can help then I’m all for it. There is lots of emerging evidence to demonstrate more and more health conditions can be alleviated through personalised nutrition. More about that to come in future posts!
