Exercise is always one of those things that never gets prioritized. Personally if I don’t get it done in the morning, it just doesn’t happen.
I was first introduced to Tabata by my own personal trainer a number of years ago when we were only seeing each other for one session per week. I really needed to get as much out of that half an hour of my week as I could!
Tabata is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that features exercises that last four minutes. Essentially you do the following:
- Workout really hard for 20 seconds
- Rest for 10 seconds
- Complete 8 rounds
You can do pretty much any exercise you wish. Think squats, push-ups, burpees or any other exercise that works multiple and/or large muscle groups.
Tabata is perfect if you are short on time and is guaranteed to give you a great workout!
